The briefing leaflets provided to the right give an overview of Crossrail, a world-class, affordable railway which will be constructed across London, serving regions to the east and west of the capital. It will bring major transport and economic benefits to London and the country as a whole. Crossrail will run from 2017.

In July 2008, Royal Assent was given to the Crossrail Bill. The Crossrail Act (2008) means that approval has been given for the construction process to begin. Preparatory works will start in 2009 with main construction starting in 2010.

The leaflets listed as downloads (to the right) are briefing leaflets in various languages. They can be downloaded, or obtained in printed format from Crossrail.
